Everywhere You Can Play Jackbox
Jackbox Games are available on so many different platforms, how do I know which to choose?
Choosing a platform to buy Jackbox Games on depends on a lot of things. Keep in mind that games are not transferable between platforms. If you buy a game on one platform and decide you want it on another, you will need to make another purchase, so this is an important decision!
Jackbox Games on your computer
If you're a gamer who plays primarily on your laptop or desktop, you might want to look toward Steam (PC/Mac), the Epic Games Store (PC/Mac), or the Mac App Store.
If you are going to be streaming games via Twitch, or playing remotely with friends and family, this might be an ideal solution for you! We have a lot of information and tips about ways to play virtually with friends, family, and/or fans in our remote play article here.
One popular use case for games on Steam, Epic, and Apple is bringing a laptop with your games to a friends house and connecting via HDMI or "casting" to a TV where everyone can see it. Your games on these platforms are connected to your account on said platform, which means you can also access your purchased games by logging in and installing the game onto a computer that's already at the destination.
Jackbox Games on your console
More powerful platforms like Xbox One and PlayStation 5 run Jackbox games really well. Xbox One X and PlayStation 5 Pro render some of the games in 4k which is very pretty! Note however that most game consoles are not intended for portability. For maximum portability, however, all of our games are available on Nintendo Switch, via the Nintendo eShop!
Jackbox Games on your smart TV
Depending on the model of TV, you may be able to download and play our games directly on your television. You can check by searching "Jackbox Games" in your television's native App Store. Compatible devices include Apple TVs, Amazon Fire TVs, certain Amazon Fire Sticks, Fire Cubes and certain android smart TVs.
Finally, if you are a Netflix subscriber, you can now access Jackbox Games directly through your Netflix account
Ultimately, the decision is up to you!
Please note that there are some platforms we are not currently on, such as: Roku, Chromebook / ChromeOS, and some smart TVs that cannot see our game in a Google Play Store app.
