Frequently Asked Questions for Trivia Murder Party 3

How do I sign up to be a Trivia Murder Party 3 Playtester?

What is the difference between Trivia Murder Party 3 Alpha Playtesting, Beta Playtesting, and Early Access?

  • Our Trivia Murder Party 3 Alpha Playtest is a closed playtest on Steam (meaning you need to fill out this form, wait for a private invite, and sign an NDA). It is an unfinished, work-in-progress version of Trivia Murder Party 3.

Our Trivia Murder Party 3 Beta Playtest is an open playtest of a slightly-more-polished-build of a still unfinished game on Steam. People will be able to sign up on Steam for an opportunity to join the Beta Playtest.

Trivia Murder Party 3 will release on Early Access on Steam and Epic. The Early Access is a type of paid release where game has all of its core features and visually looks finished, but does not have 100% of all the extra elements we'd plan for during a full 1.0 release and there is a chance for unexpected bugs or hiccups that we hope to iron out before the 1.0 release. It's a way to let players buy and play early while still giving us feedback on what is and isn’t working. You will not have to purchase the game again when it updates to a full 1.0 release.

We will need playtesters in both playtests to test the servers and get feedback on our game at multiple levels of development so we can try to make the best possible game for our fans once the final version is released.

Do I need to pay to be a Trivia Murder Party 3 playtester?

  • Nope! We will provide all Alpha and Beta playtesters with an early version of our game on Steam. You will need to purchase the game if you want to keep playing it after it is formally released in Early Access and 1.0.

When will Trivia Murder Party 3 playtesting begin?

  • We plan to start selecting people for Alpha Playtesting around mid-to-late March 2026. People will be selected on a rolling basis so if you signed up with this link and haven’t heard back by then, still keep an eye out! We will continue to add more people to the playtests and servers as we test the game. And you can also sign up for Beta Playtesting on Steam which will open up to a much broader pool of people after Alpha Playtesting.

Is anyone eligible to playtest Trivia Murder Party 3?

  • If you want to be an Alpha Playtester for Trivia Murder Party 3, you need to be at least 18 years old, residing in the United States, and willing to sign an NDA. In order to be eligible as a Beta Playtester for Trivia Murder Party 3, you just need to sign up on Steam using your Steam account. Anyone can purchase Trivia Murder Party 3 when it releases in Early Access.

Will everyone who signs up for Trivia Murder Party 3 Alpha playtesting be selected?

  • It depends on how many people express interest! We are hopeful we can open our early servers to as many people as possible, but there is a chance not everyone will be selected.

If I am an Alpha or Beta Playtester, will I get a free copy of Trivia Murder Party 3?

  • The playtesting itself is free! And we will be playtesting up until the Early Access release. Once the product is released in Early Access you'll have to purchase it to continue playing.

What are the technical requirements to participate in playtesting?

  • You will need a PC (sorry Mac users!) that is capable of running a modern Unreal Engine 5 game. The game will be released on Steam, Epic, and all major consoles in its final release (including on Macs!).

Do I need to be a playtester to get to play the game when it releases?

  • Nope! Anyone can purchase the game on Steam and Epic when it drops in Early Access, and anyone can purchase the finished 1.0 release Trivia Murder Party 3 on Steam, Epic, and all major consoles like you normally would!

What Party Pack is Trivia Murder Party 3 going to be a part of?

What consoles will Trivia Murder Party 3 release on?

  • The final version of Trivia Murder Party 3 will be released on all major consoles, but it will only be available on Steam during the Alpha and Beta Playtests, and Steam and Epic for the Early Access release.
